So you think you know Microsoft Word?

We all use Microsoft Word to write all the time. But, do you know all the features of it?

To find out, we are going to do a project in Word that will use many of its features. Some of the things you will know how to do, some probably not.

You will be writing a book that will describe three of your favorite books. So, to start, you need to pick three books that you have read that you can write a brief description of, which is called an annotation. You also will include an Author Biography, so you will need to write a short biography of yourself.

Before you begin, think of three books that you would like to include in your book. You will need to know their titles, author and possibly illustrator, the city of publication, the publishing company and the dates they were published. All that information is included in Cat Jr., so you can look your book up to get it. If your book isn’t in Cat Jr., you can look in the Medina County District Library catalog.

To begin, click on the link to the tutorial. You can stop and start anytime and go back to where you finished the last time. To save your book, navigate to the Student drive, then select the Word Tutorial folder. Be sure to put your name and your teacher’s name in the file, like this: My favorite books-(your name) (teachers name). Your classroom teacher and Library Teacher will both be evaluating the books.

Let’s see how much you really know about Microsoft Word.
