Dolan honored for his years of service on the Medina City School Board

School board member Mark Dolan was honored at the Board of Education meeting on December 19 for his eight years of service to the school district. Dolan did not run for re-election, his term ends December 31, 2011. He was credited with a number of initiatives during his years of service, Dolan spearheaded the sales tax issue that passed in May of 2007; he has also worked very hard to develop collaborative efforts and partnerships with school districts throughout the county to increase efficiencies and save costs.

Fellow board members applauded Dolan for his ability to explain school funding in understandable terms to a variety of audiences and for his thorough review and attention to details of district issues. Dolan was commended for his dedicated service to the district and the students served.

Dolan thanked the community for electing him to the Board of Education and providing him with the opportunity to serve the school district and represent the community.

Karla Robinson will replace Dolan on the Board beginning in January 2012.
