GSA
Attention students who are interested in making MHS a more welcoming and safe atmosphere for all. On Thursday, May 24th, we will be meeting for the last time this year to reflect on our experiences this year and to plan for a great next year. The meeting is after school in room 2200. All students are welcome to attend. See Mrs. Oehler in room 2200 if you have any questions.
ALL MHS
This weekend the MHS choirs will present their annual spring variety show-Showtime. This years show features amazing musical performances from all of the choral music students. Tickets can be purchase at the door or in advance at the PAC box office. Shows will be presented on Friday at 7:30PM and Saturday at 2:00PM and 7:30PM. Special student discount tickets are available for the Saturday 2:00PM show for only $5.00. Take advantage of this special half-price offer. Please present your student ID at the ticket table to receive the discount. Limit one ticket per ID.
SUMMER READING
Looking for a good book to read this summer? Come join Mrs., Lippincott and Connie Osborne, from the Medina County Library, in the media center during all lunch periods on Tuesday, May 22. They will be book-talking some good reads for the summer. Bring your lunch, and they’ll provide dessert.
SENIORS
Baccalaureate will be held the Thursday before commencement, May 31st at 7:00PM at Cornerstone Chapel. All seniors can attend! Try to arrive by 6:15PM and bring your cap and gown. Tickets are not necessary. The seniors who have a part in the program should attend this Thursdays’ practice at 2:30PM at Cornerstone.
TENNIS PLAYERS
There will be an open court next Wednesday for any girl interested in playing tennis next year. The open court will be from 3:00-4:30PM. If any girls can not make the open court, but are interested in playing they should contact Coach Hoffmann. Any guys who were on the team this year are welcome to attend as well.
Even younger brothers and sisters can get into the action. Pick up a USTA flyer at the HUB and check out the great programs that are available this summer.
MENS TRACK
There will be an important meeting for all members of the Men’s track team on Thursday, after school in the Distance Learning Lab. All uniforms must be returned at this time. Information about the Awards Night will be discussed.
GLC BANQUET
All new and current members of GLC, don’t forget about our banquet, Wednesday, May 23 at 5:00PM. See you there and don’t forget to bring your hours books.
STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS
Attention all Student Council Members who will be Juniors next year, please stop by and see Ms. Cole in Room 2118 if you helped decorate for the prom Saturday morning. A few students who went to prom on Saturday left without picking up their prom gifts at exiting, please see the HUB for your package today.
SENIORS
Tuesday, May 29 at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center is the Senior Awards Ceremony. Various awards and scholarships will be handed out this evening. Also, if you are receiving honors diploma, this is where you will receive your gold tassel. Top 35 will also be honored as well as senior service award and outstanding senior. There will be a short reception, (with food!), in the hallway outside the PAC starting at 6:30. Please come join us in honoring your fellow seniors!
